In connection with Russna Kaur’s exhibition: Been there twice, haven’t got there yet (the space behind a thin screen, and prying eyes)  

A cooking demonstration with artists Sonali Menezes and Nikhil Rajput exploring the connection between cooking, eating, sharing, and the act of painting – highlighting that our hands are essential tools for both nourishment and creativity. Participants will learn to make chapatis and other dishes while exploring the cultural, political, and sensory significance of eating with their hands. From the digestive benefits to the connections with creativity, participants will engage in conversations and sensory exploration and draw parallels between the act of painting and the embodied experience of sharing food by hand.
